How much water should I drink?
Short answer first. Full logic in the chapter.
1.5 to 2.5 liters per day — and it's more important than most people realize.
Why water matters for fat loss:
- Lipolysis requires water — the chemical reaction that releases fat from cells needs H₂O
- Hunger vs. thirst confusion — your brain often signals "hungry" when you're actually dehydrated
- Drains The Wet Sponge — proper hydration paradoxically reduces water retention
- Supports kidney function — kidneys flush metabolic waste from fat burning
Protocol:
- 1. 500ml immediately upon waking
- 2. 500ml before each meal
- 3. Sip throughout the day
Sodium balance: Drink water AND maintain 3,000-5,000mg sodium daily. Water without sodium just flushes through. Both together = proper hydration.
